Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Nazareth Academy walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Belvidere North Blue Thunder 2-1 on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for Nazareth Academy as they're now sitting on five straight.

Samantha Austin and Molly Moore scored both of Nazareth Academy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 24 goals.

Nazareth Academy's win bumped their record up to 16-10-1. As for Belvidere North, they moved to 19-3-2 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Coming up, Nazareth Academy will challenge Saint Ignatius College Prep at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Saint Ignatius College Prep will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Nazareth Academy surely won't give up without a fight. Belvidere North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
