Softball Recap: Morristown Yellow Jackets vs. South Decatur Cougars
Morristown and South Decatur squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Morristown had to settle for second. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 13-6. The Yellow Jackets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 17-2.
Mykynzy Smith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three runs and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Everhart, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Morristown now has a losing record of 10-11. As for South Decatur, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season.
As of now, neither Morristown nor South Decatur have any future games scheduled.
