Basketball Game Preview: Calvary Christian Warriors vs. Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate Phoenix

Having just played yesterday, the Calvary Christian Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate Phoenix at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Calvary Christian will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

On Friday, everything went Calvary Christian's way against IMG Academy Regional as Calvary Christian made off with a 68-44 victory. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate posted their biggest win since January 11, 2024 on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat American Youth Academy 60-23. Given the Phoenix's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Eagles are ranked 686th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Calvary Christian, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-2.

Calvary Christian strolled past Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 57-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Calvary Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
