Broad Run's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They skirted past the Tuscarora Huskies 4-3. For the Spartans, this counts as revenge for the 9-0 win the Huskies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Brady Jackson looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Luke Brandenburg was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Broad Run has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.25 runs across that stretch. As for Tuscarora, they moved to 4-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Broad Run will be playing in front of their home fans against Rock Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tuscarora, they will venture away from home to square off against Heritage at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
