Baseball Recap: Pleasant Comes Up Short

If Pleasant was feeling good fresh off their 12-2 takedown of River Valley last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings on Thursday. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 12-2.

Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for River Valley, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.

Pleasant has already played their next contest, a 9-6 win against North Union on the 12th. As for River Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-0 victory against Madison Comprehensive on the 11th.
