Coastal Christian had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 69-3 win over the Cuyama Valley Bears. The Conquerors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 24 points or more this season.

Coastal Christian was led to victory by Bristol Machgan and Jenna Starkovich. Machgan posted 17 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds, while Starkovich went 9 for 17 on her way to 19 points and five boards. Starkovich is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Carly Starkovich, who went 5 of 12 en route to 10 points and three steals.

Coastal Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in 16 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Coastal Christian's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1. As for Cuyama Valley, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Coastal Christian is taking a road trip to take on Shandon at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Coastal Christian's defense has only allowed 16.9 points per game this season, so Shandon's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Cuyama Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Coast Union at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
