Northwest Guilford is 8-2 against East Forsyth since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. Northwest Guilford will be playing at home against East Forsyth at 1:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Northwest Guilford took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 10-5 win over Southeast Guilford.

Meanwhile, East Forsyth had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 12-9.

East Forsyth got a big performance out of Savannah Hamilton, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave Hamilton a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Niten, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Hamilton wasn't the only one working in the hit department: East Forsyth kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.

East Forsyth's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Northwest Guilford, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Everything went Northwest Guilford's way against East Forsyth in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Northwest Guilford made off with a 13-3 win. Does Northwest Guilford have another victory up their sleeve, or will East Forsyth turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
