Basketball Recap: Riverview Sarasota Takes a Loss

Riverview Sarasota's tournament run continued when they took on Calvary Christian on Monday. The game between the Riverview Sarasota Rams and the Calvary Christian Warriors didn't end well, with the Riverview Sarasota Rams falling 78-64. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Warriors are ranked 31st).

Despite the loss, Riverview Sarasota still got an impressive performance from Josh Harris, who went 8 of 20 en route to 25 points and five boards. The contest was Harris' sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Farris, who posted nine points and six rebounds.

Even though they lost, Riverview Sarasota was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Riverview Sarasota's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Calvary Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season.
