Game recap: Marion-Franklin High School Football Team bests Licking Heights

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Marion-Franklin (Columbus, Ohio) snapped Licking Heights (Pataskala, Ohio)'s 10-game winning streak, with a 46-14 victory on Saturday.

The Red Devils were up 20-6 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by Corry Benson in the second quarter.

Marion-Franklin expanded its lead to 34 points entering the fourth quarter. MF scored three times in the third, including once on a Benson touchdown run.

With the win the Columbus school extended its winning streak to nine games. The Red Devils defeated the Bulldogs 43-21 last week.

Marion-Franklin's standout player in the win was Benson. The senior quarterback ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored 10 touchdowns on the season.



MF came into the game allowing 15.9 points per game. The Hornets came in giving up 8.4 points per game this season. Licking Heights struggled against the Red Devils, which came in averaging 36.2 points per game.

The defeat comes as a step back for Licking Heights, which notched a 53-0 victory over Fisher Catholic in its previous outing.
