Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Gets the Win

Heritage Christian won the last time they faced Indianapolis Shortridge and things went their way on Friday too. The Heritage Christian Eagles secured a 53-48 W over the Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils.

Eli Nix went supernova for Heritage Christian, going 7 of 11 on his way to 19 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Flint, who posted 14 points.

Elijah Wilson and Jordan Yates certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Wilson went 11 of 26 on his way to 31 points, while Yates dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 64.6% of Indianapolis Shortridge's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Heritage Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

Heritage Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-25 defeat against NorthWood on the 3rd. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 64-51 loss against Fort Wayne North Side on the 3rd.
