Softball Recap: Marshall Takes a Loss

Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 12-2 to the O'Connor Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in March.

Haley Herrera made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last four times she's played.

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for O'Connor, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2.

Coincidentally, Marshall and O'Connor will both be playing Holmes the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Huskies at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Rams will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
