Volleyball Recap: Florence Takes a Loss

Florence was the 2-1 winner over Pearl when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell 2-0 to the Pirates on Saturday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-20.

Leading Pearl to victory were Izzy Watts and Bailey Chism. Watts had 18 assists and seven digs, while Chism had nine digs and three assists. Those 18 assists gave Watts a new career-high. Calli Thomas also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Florence's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Pearl, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-14.

Florence does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pearl, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Warren Central on the 23rd.
