Soccer Game Preview: Hampton vs. Bethel

Hampton hasn't had much luck against Bethel recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Crabbers will head out to take on the Bruins at 5:30 p.m. Hampton will be strutting in after a victory while Bethel will be coming in after a defeat.

Hampton took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over Heritage. Considering Hampton's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Bethel came up short against Menchville on Tuesday, falling 8-1. While losing is never fun, Bethel can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while Menchville are ranked 46th).

With the win, Hampton broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 5-9-2. As for Bethel, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6-3.
