Volleyball Recap: Taylorville Tornadoes vs. Mater Dei Knights
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Taylorville can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Mater Dei Knights on Tuesday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Tornadoes haven't been shut out since back in September.
Alayna Vincent paced Taylorville's offense, picking up six kills. Vincent got some help from Ryan Prince and her ten assists. Finally, Robyn Ward kept Taylorville's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.
Mater Dei was led to victory by Ava Lampe and Lauren Jamruk. Lampe had ten digs and two assists, while Jamruk had 11 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Jamruk has posted since back in August.
