Football Recap: McGavock Takes a Loss

McGavock extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-4. They were beaten by the Clarksville Wildcats 56-0. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2022.

As for Clarksville, they now have a winning record of 3-2. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Clarksville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Morgan Padilla out in front who rushed for 67 yards and one score on only five carries. Those 67 rushing yards gave Padilla a new career-high.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McGavock will face off against Rossview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clarksville, they will take on West Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Coyote's rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.75 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
