Football Recap: Lake Brantley Starts Season with Win Against Lyman

Lake Brantley had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lyman Greyhounds 75-0. The Patriots were shut out 27-0 the last time they took on the Greyhounds, so the Patriots were just returning the favor.

Lake Brantley found their leader in sophomore Jackson Stecher, who threw for 204 yards and four touchdowns on perfect 8-for-8 passing. Jacob McDonald also helped with two TDs in total.

Lake Brantley didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Lyman to a completion percentage of just 18.8%. The Patriots weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 100%.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Brantley will face off against East River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lyman, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Tohopekaliga at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
