Baseball Recap: Hillsboro Wins Going Away Against Bishop Reicher Catholic

The matchup between Hillsboro and Bishop Reicher Catholic on Friday hardly resembled the 3-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Hillsboro Eagles never let the Bishop Reicher Catholic Cougars get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory. That 20 run margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

Braxton Borde made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Borde was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Trevor Clark was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Connor Creech, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
