Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Tri-Valley beat Notre Dame 56-52.
Tri-Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caden Leonard, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Leonard pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Layne Yoder, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Nativity BVM scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 80-40 victory over Our Lady of Lourdes Regional. Nativity BVM has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season.
Tri-Valley's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Nativity BVM, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.
Tri-Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Nativity BVM when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 63-56. Does Tri-Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Nativity BVM turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
