Basketball Recap: Tiyana Alexander Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Melissa

McKinney North's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 44-36 win over the Melissa Cardinals. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

McKinney North's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tiyana Alexander, who posted five points along with six rebounds and four steals. Olivia Rankin was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

McKinney North moved to 10-13 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Melissa, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-8.

McKinney North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-22 victory against Greenville on the 11th. As for Melissa, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 38-32 win against Walnut Grove on the 10th.
