Volleyball Recap: Beech Grove Takes a Loss

Beech Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warren Central Warriors. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Warriors when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Beech Grove started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 27-25, 25-23, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Beech Grove saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ainsley Rinks had five digs and two aces.

Beech Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beech Grove will head out to face off against Greenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Warren Central, they will square off against Franklin Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
