Softball Recap: Girard Takes a Loss

South Range hit Girard with a four-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Indians lost 11-3 to the Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-4 last Tuesday.

Girard saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Serrano, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Girard now has a losing record of 11-12. As for South Range, they pushed their record up to 17-9 with the victory, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Girard will challenge Chippewa at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Range, they will take on Orrville in a tournament on Wednesday.
