Carrollton extended their winning streak to eight games thanks to a huge performance from Lauren Flowers. The Carrollton Hawks walked away with a 34-22 win over the Okawville Rockets on Tuesday for which the team can thank Flowers, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Carrollton's points.

Okawville's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caroline Tepe, who posted seven points and three steals.

Carrollton's victory bumped their record up to 27-7. As for Okawville, they moved to 20-12 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Carrollton will face off against Calhoun/Brussels at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Okawville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
