Softball Recap: Pflugerville Drops Highest Score of Season Against Pflugerville Connally

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pflugerville). They put the hurt on the Pflugerville Connally Cougars with a sharp 19-6 victory on Friday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Pflugerville got a massive performance out of Kylie Jaccard, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave Jaccard a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauryn Jackson, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.

Pflugerville hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in five consecutive matches.

Pflugerville's victory bumped their record up to 4-8-1. As for Pflugerville Connally, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Pflugerville and Pflugerville Connally will both be playing East View the next time they take the field. Pflugerville will head out to face East View at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Pflugerville Connally will host them at 7:00 p.m. on March 14th.
