Basketball Game Preview: Pine Hills Adventist Eagles vs. Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning Fire Wolves

The Pine Hills Adventist Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning Fire Wolves at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Pine Hills Adventist and nine for Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning dating back to last season.

Last Monday, Pine Hills Adventist came up short against Sacramento Country Day and fell 50-43.

Pine Hills Adventist's defeat came about despite a quality game from Brennan Reese, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. Reese has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last 11 times he's played. Luke Childers was another key player, putting up 13 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 78-36 loss at the hands of Aspire Alexander Twilight Secondary Academy. The Fire Wolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-16.

Pine Hills Adventist's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Pine Hills Adventist lost to Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning on the road by a decisive 39-25 margin in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Pine Hills Adventist avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
