Softball Preview: St. Dominic Saints vs. North Yarmouth Academy Panthers

St. Dominic is 2-8 against North Yarmouth Academy since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Saints will head out on the road to challenge the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. St. Dominic will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

St. Dominic is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Mount Abram 19-12 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won seven matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Madeline Andrews made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
