Baseball Recap: Springboro Triumphs

While Springboro's win against Fairfield wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Indians 6-4. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians on Thursday, too.

Dylan Brabston tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits.

At the plate, Nick Hutchinson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan King, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Springboro now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Fairfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Coming up, Springboro will challenge Centerville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fairfield, they will take on Middletown at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
