Deerfield proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Dodgeland Trojans 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Demons as they're now sitting on five straight.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Deerfield got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 15-13.

Riley Fisher paced Deerfield's offense, picking up ten kills. Fisher got some help from Tia Anderson and her 11 assists. Anderson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Deerfield's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Dodgeland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Deerfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Randolph on the 20th. As for Dodgeland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Cambria-Friesland on the 20th.
