Recap: Chandler Wolves vs. Tolleson Wolverines
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Xavier College Prep, the Chandler Wolves were happy to have found some success on Thursday. Everything went their way against Tolleson as Chandler made off with a 61-38 victory. Given Chandler's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Tolleson is ranked 132nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Chandler found their leader in underclassman Karis Hurd, who scored 17 points. Hurd continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Karina Hunter, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Chandler's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Tolleson, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3-1.
Chandler will take on Highlands Ranch in a holiday battle at 1:30 p.m. on Monday at. Highlands Ranch is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games. Tolleson will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Payson at 12:00 p.m. on December 29th.
