Basketball Recap: Wesley Chapel Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Wesley Chapel challenged Sagemont Prep on Friday. The Wildcats were dealt a 76-45 defeat at the hands of the Lions. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sebastian Oliver, who posted ten points. Oliver continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tj Aguilar, who had nine points in addition to seven boards and five assists.

Wesley Chapel's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Sagemont Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Wesley Chapel didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-49 defeat against Mater Academy Charter on the 29th. As for Sagemont Prep, they have also already played their next matchup, a 69-47 win against Carrollwood Day on the 29th.
