Baseball Recap: Fleming County Has No Trouble Against Bath County

It was a proper cat-fight when Fleming County duked it out with Bath County on Wednesday. The Panthers blew past the Wildcats 9-1. Considering the Panthers have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lester Doyle was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Kaleb McIntyre was another key player, earning three runs and two stolen bases.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Fleming County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bath County only managed six hits.

Fleming County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-14 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Bath County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-18-1.

As of now, neither Fleming County nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
