Football Game Preview: Morton Panthers vs. Pass Christian Pirates + Official Tickets

The Morton Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the Pass Christian Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Morton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past West Lauderdale 35-14.

Tristen Hobson had a dynamite game, rushing for 52 yards and three scores. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in September of 2024.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Morton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 247 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 168 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Pass Christian on Friday. Everything went their way against South Pike as they made off with a 52-32 win. Winning may never get old, but the Pirates sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Morton better keep an eye on Paris Trivillion. He was instrumental in Pass Christian's win, rushing for 107 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten carries, while also throwing for 164 yards and three touchdowns. Trivillion's longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Larkin Lewis was Trivillion's top target, picking up 87 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Morton's record is now 6-4. As for Pass Christian, their record now sits at 10-1.
