Baseball Game Preview: Baldwin Park Braves vs. Montclair Cavaliers

The Baldwin Park Braves are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will square off against the Montclair Cavaliers at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Baldwin Park is headed out to face Montclair after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Baldwin Park skirted past Wilson 5-3.

The team relied heavily on Gadiel Castellanos, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Felix, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Baldwin Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wilson only posted a batting average of .143.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Wednesday Montclair sidestepped Rowland for a 5-4 win. The victory continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won five in a row.

Baldwin Park beat Montclair 7-4 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Baldwin Park since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
