Loris piles up the points against Green Sea Floyds

Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up eight more assists than your opponent, a fact the Loris Lions proved on Friday. They really took it to Green Sea Floyds for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-8 victory at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Loris has managed all season.

Janiya Richburg went supernova for Loris, dropping a triple-double on 17 points, 17 rebounds, and 11 steals. Richburg is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Dazena Capers was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with four steals.

Despite the loss, Green Sea Floyds still got an impressive performance from Dee Dee Boyd, who scored three points along with ten rebounds.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Green Sea Floyds struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

The victory got Loris back to even at 2-2. As for Green Sea Floyds, they bumped their record down to 2-4 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Loris will face off against Wilson at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Green Sea Floyds is on the road again on Thursday and play against Governor's School for Science & Math at 6:30 p.m. on December 7th.
