Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Pojoaque Valley

Pojoaque Valley hadn't done well against Espanola Valley recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes came out on top against the Espanola Valley Sundevils by a score of 65-54. This was a revenge game for the Elks/Elkettes: when they faced off against the Sundevils back in January, they had to take a 53-52 defeat.

The win (which was Pojoaque Valley's fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points over those games. As for Espanola Valley, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 18-5.
