Volleyball Recap: Kemp Takes a Loss

Kemp was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Avalon Eagles. The Yellowjackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2022.

While Kemp had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18.

Kemp's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Avalon, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-4 record.

Kemp wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Frost on the 16th. As for Avalon, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Rice on the 16th.
