Baseball Recap: Stevens Comes Up Short

Stevens suffered their biggest defeat since March 17th on Monday. They came up short against the O'Connor Panthers, falling 12-1. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Falcons, who until this matchup were averaging four runs allowed.

Stevens saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Revilla, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles. John Tejeda also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Stevens and nudges their season record down to 13-12-1. As for O'Connor, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-14-3 record this season.

While Stevens had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
