Flag Football Recap: Northfield Falls Short Against Ranked Denver South

Northfield faced Denver South in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Nighthawks were dealt a 39-6 loss at the hands of the Ravens. The Nighthawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-0.

Jayda Westmoreland threw for 100 yards and one touchdown. Ana Baseman was her top target, picking up 52 receiving yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Northfield and nudges their season record down to 9-5. As for Denver South, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-2.

Northfield wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 38-6 win against Lincoln on the 11th. Hopefully Denver South paid attention to the Nighthawks' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Nighthawks at 12:30 p.m. on the 18th.
