Recap: Springfield Millers vs. North Eugene Highlanders
The Springfield Millers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against North Eugene, falling 75-35. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Springfield has scored all season.
North Eugene got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Caiden Gould out in front who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jonas Spencer was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Springfield has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for North Eugene, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.
Springfield will head out on the road to face off against Ashland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ashland is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for North Eugene, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Crater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Crater is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
