The Sharon Tigers will take on the Sharpsville Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sharpsville took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Sharon, who comes in off a win.
Sharon will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Grove City, who they had gone 0-7-1 against in their eight prior meetings. The Tigers won by a set and slipped past the Eagles 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.
Sharon was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-16, 13-25, 21-25, 25-14, 16-14.

Sharon's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Emmalie Yobe, who had 29 assists and 15 digs, and Dani Currie, who had 20 digs, six kills, and three aces. Yobe is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Addie McFann, who had 16 digs and one assist.
Meanwhile, Sharpsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Greenville. Surprisingly, this marked the Blue Devils' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Sharpsville started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-23, 25-21, 25-21.
Sharon's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Sharpsville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
