Basketball Recap: Shore Regional's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Thursday

Shore Regional won the last time they faced Monmouth Regional and things went their way on Thursday too. The Shore Regional Blue Devils strolled past the Monmouth Regional Falcons with points to spare, taking the game 46-32. Given the Blue Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while the Falcons are ranked 365th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Shore Regional's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Monmouth Regional, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shore Regional will square off against Ocean Township at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monmouth Regional, they will welcome Point Pleasant Beach at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
