 In what's become a running theme this season, McLean County gave their fans yet another huge  win on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Webster County Trojans  an   8-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for McLean County, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
  Jaelin Groves and  Jax Lee made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound,  Groves   pitched  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks). Meanwhile,  Lee   didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. At bat,  Groves  went 2-for-3 with two  doubles, a  stolen base,  and two  RBI, while  Lee  went 3-for-4 with three  RBI, a  triple,  and a  stolen base.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Layden Bozarth, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Hayden Hudson, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 McLean County now  has a winning record of 3-2. As for Webster County, their defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 3-1.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McLean County will take on Trigg County at 5:45  p.m.  on Friday. Trigg County is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 9.3  runs per game this season. As for Webster County, they will stay at home for another  game and welcome Caldwell County at 5:45  p.m.  on Friday. Caldwell County's pitching crew has only allowed two  runs per game  this season, so Webster County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
