It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Milpitas ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They walked away with a 14-10 win over the Gunn Titans. The Trojans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Milpitas' victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7. As for Gunn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Coming up, Milpitas will welcome Foothill at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Milpitas' pitchers better be ready for this one: Foothill has averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
