Jim Thorpe won the last time they faced Pen Argyl and Maura Malaska did her part to make sure it happened again. The Olympians walked away with a 3-1 win over the Green Knights on Thursday thanks in part to Malaska, who had 14 digs, five aces, and one block. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Jim Thorpe had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 25-21, 25-15, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Pen Argyl still got an impressive performance from Emily McHale, who had 22 digs.

The victory made it two in a row for Jim Thorpe and bumps their season record up to 7-11. As for Pen Argyl, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.

Jim Thorpe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pen Argyl, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Northwestern Lehigh on the 10th.
