            The Forest Hills Yellow Jackets will head out to  face off against the Anson Bearcats  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Forest Hills will be strutting in after a  win while Anson will be coming in after a  defeat.
On Friday, Forest Hills was able to grind out a solid  victory over West Stanly, taking the game  41-28. Given the Yellow Jackets' advantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Colts are ranked 293rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

  Jansen Rivens and  Noah Furr were among the main playmakers for Forest Hills as the former rushed for 69 yards and one  touchdown on only five carries and the latter rushed for 23 yards and one  score. That's the most  rushing yards  Rivens has posted since back in September of 2024.  Russell Fincher was in the mix  too, providing Forest Hills with one TD.
Meanwhile, Anson came up short against Monroe on Friday and fell  32-20. That's two games in a row now that the Bearcats have lost by  exactly 12  points.
 Forest Hills will have to keep a close watch on  Tasean Harris and  Cordarrius Bivens, a pair of players who had a big impact on Anson's prior game. Harris rushed for 88 yards and one  score, while  Bivens rushed for 37 yards and a pair of  touchdowns.
 Forest Hills' win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Anson, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the  loss, which was their eighth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Forest Hills strolled past Anson when the teams last played  back in November of 2024 by a score of  25-8. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Bearcats'  Jazear Griffin, who rushed for 126 yards on only ten carries. Now that he won't be playing  on Friday, will it be easier for the Yellow Jackets to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
