Fletcher won the last time they faced Englewood and things went their way on Thursday too. The Fletcher Senators came out on top in a nail-biter against the Englewood Rams, sneaking past 9-8. That's two games straight that the Senators have won by just one run.

Henry Manley looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jakeb McDougall, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Demsey, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

The victory made it two in a row for Fletcher and bumps their season record up to 7-5-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Englewood, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Coming up, Fletcher will be playing at home against Stanton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Englewood, they will take on Fernandina Beach in a tournament on Thursday.
