Baseball Recap: Parma Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Parma won the last time they faced Emmett and things went their way on Friday too. The Parma Panthers came out on top against the Emmett Huskies by a score of 4-1.

Samuel Hultman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jacob Mikelson, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Parma's win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-0. As for Emmett, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Parma Panthers take on South Fremont Cougars at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Emmett, they will take on Marsh Valley at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.
