Valley View came into Thursday's matchup looking for another win against Indio, but Anitzi Zarco wouldn't allow it. The Rajahs skirted past the Eagles 3-2 for which the team can thank Zarco, who had 25 digs and five aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 13 games she's played dating back to last season.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Indio who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 22-25, 25-22, 19-25, 15-7.

Indio's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Valley View, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Looking ahead, Indio will take on Shadow Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valley View, they will face off against Pacific at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
