Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Syracuse's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

If Fremont wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Syracuse, they should've done a better job of containing Ian Sprague. The Titans were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Silverwolves on Thursday with plenty of help from Sprague, who had 13 digs and two assists. He has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times he's played.

Syracuse never let Fremont on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 27-25, 25-19.

Syracuse is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Fremont, they dropped their record down to 3-11 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Syracuse has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Woods Cross on the 18th. As for Fremont, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Mountain Crest on the 18th.
