Preview: Mount Olive Pirates vs. Piney Woods Tornadoes
The Mount Olive Pirates will be home for the holidays to greet the Piney Woods Tornadoes at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mount Olive will be strutting in after a victory while Piney Woods will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, the stars were shining brightly for Mount Olive in a 42-26 victory over Stringer.
Meanwhile, Piney Woods fought the good fight in their overtime game against McLaurin on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Tigers 56-52. Piney Woods has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mount Olive now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Piney Woods, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
Mount Olive came up short against Piney Woods in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, falling 42-34. Can Mount Olive avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
