Baseball Game Preview: Pisgah Bears vs. Franklin Panthers

The Pisgah Bears will square off against the Franklin Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Pisgah turned things around against Franklin on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Panthers 7-6.

For Franklin's part, Caden Mason was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. Mason has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Anderson Terrell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was William Rauers, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

Even though they lost, Franklin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. This was only their first loss (out of three games) when they post 11 or more hits.

Franklin is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. As for Pisgah, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
